Article Overview
Hi everyone!
For those who don’t know me, I’m Leanne, the marketing executive here at 3PL. I could go on and on about my passion for marketing and storytelling, but today, we’re focusing on websites. Specifically, why companies should invest in renewing their website.
When I first started my journey at 3PL, I reviewed our website and was pleasantly surprised. It was personable, colourful, easy to navigate, and insightful. You’re probably thinking, “Then why change it?”
Well, here are my 4 key reasons why you should continually invest in your website:
1. First Impressions and Credibility
When I reviewed competitors’ websites, I noticed something important. Many of them were filled with logistics jargon and industry facing topics, almost as if they forgot who would be digesting their content. It’s like going to a party with the main aim of meeting new people but spending the whole night in the corner chatting with your friends instead of mingling.
The first impression we need to give our potential customers is that we understand their business. Without that connection, it’s much harder to gain their trust and establish credibility. The customer landscape is constantly evolving, so investing in knowledge of your customer base is always money well spent.
2. Digital Marketing Integration
Digital marketing strategies can often be overlooked, but I cannot stress the importance of SEO enough. The thing with SEO is that the keywords your potential customers might search for can change over time. It’s our job to stay updated with the evolving wants and needs of our customer base. Beyond SEO, your website serves as a springboard for social media and email marketing. Your key messages will be featured on your website, giving you a consistent platform to refer to.
3. Customer Engagement and Support
Your website serves as an essential information hub where customers can get a clear glimpse of your business. Even non-marketers can notice inconsistencies in design and tone of voice when they are present. Imagine inviting someone into a store for the first time and finding it disorganised, with unclear signage and an unwelcoming atmosphere. It would leave a bad impression, right? Think of your website experience in the same way.
Your website should be a well-organised, welcoming hub that showcases your products, services, current customers, employees, and company values. A well-maintained, constantly evolving website ensures that visitors feel confident and supported as they explore your offerings.
4. Analytics and Insights
Your website can collect valuable data on customer behaviour, preferences, and demographics, which can be used to refine your marketing strategies. Analytics tools can track website performance, providing insights into traffic sources, user engagement, and conversion rates.
Investing in your website is not just about making it look good—it’s about creating a platform that drives business growth, enhances customer engagement, and provides a competitive edge.
These 4 steps highlight why it’s super important to keep refining your website. Remember, potential customers who are checking out your site are usually already buying in the buying cycle, and they just need that extra nudge to know you’re the real deal.
By keeping your website fresh and updated it helps potential customers feel more confident about choosing you. And you know what that means? More sales and more growth for your business!
So, now that we agree on the importance of continuously improving our website, I have some exciting news to share.
Drum roll, please…
We will soon be launching 3PL’s new website!
The inspiration behind this revamp is to truly resonate with our customers. Our goal is to bridge the gap between us and them, creating a unified “us.” We want to show that we understand their business, think like they do, and act like they do. The only difference is they’re in retail and we’re in logistics.
We take the friction out of outsourcing, and we want that to be evident in everything we do. Our new website will reflect this commitment, making it easier for our customers to connect with us and find the information they need quickly and effortlessly.
You can look forward to enhanced navigation, a fresh style, and updated content, so keep your eyes peeled for the big reveal. Stay tuned!
